PUERTO RICO LANDS NETHERLANDS WBC PITCHER WENDELL FLORANUS AND MORE

GEORGETOWN, DE – The Puerto Rico Islanders have announced the 2018 roster and our on their way to the beautiful Island of Puerto Rico where they will play in front of their home crowd for the first time in history.

On that flight are very talented players including Netherlands WBC right handed pitcher Wendell Floranus, Venezuelan pitcher Luis Contreras, Right handed pitcher Matt Quintana, 2017 EPBL most improved pitcher Branden Henriquez and Japanese Knuckleballer Ryo Sanogawa.

In the infield, third baseman Victor Claudio, shortstop Angel Perez-Vargas, second baseman Angel Garced playing along side last years EPBL MVP JJ Bissell

“Puerto Rico is coming out of this camp as one of the favorites to make the playoffs this year. They have a squad over and their organization this year has been one of the best I’ve ever seen. Tony and Carlos have done a tremendous job and I expect a lot from this team.” VP Jerry Gonzalez

The Islanders will arrive to Puerto Rico on Sunday and will be announcing a media day where all fans families and media are welcome to join the Islanders prior to the start of the season.
