RINCON, PR – With the Puerto Rico Islanders  making  history and becoming the 1st  ever  team to join an  Independent professional baseball league in America, team Owner and executives  want to focus on providing equal opportunity to players in Puerto Rico.   Playing for the Puerto Rico Islanders gives the dedicated player a platform to build a career, put up good stats while increasing the possibility of being scouted and seen  for a chance to earn higher level contracts including Major League Baseball.

The  Independent baseball organization  PRIBL Puerto Rico Instructional baseball league  will be one of the primary scouting resources for the Empire League.  Empire League coaches  and scouts will look at  players that participate in  the Puerto Rico  Instructional winter league and training program.   This will help player improve and be ready to  be sent to Empire League teams exclusively the Puerto Rico Islanders.
