BISSELL HITS A MISSILE TO WALK OFF IN SERIES FINALE

RINCON, PR –  The Islanders have taken the series after yet another entertaining game between the Bucks and Islanders. Theres talk that these may be the series we see later this season.

Shota Sugawara of the Puerto Rico Islanders has done it again offensively and has hit a monster Home Run over the right center wall to give the Islanders the lead in the middle part of the game  off Bucks starter Nelson Garcia. A shot that traveled close to 410 feet. Sugawara finished 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs’s .

Abel Medina answered Shotas homer with one of his own to the exact same spot in the right center wall.  Medina finished 3 for 4 for the night with an RBI.

Bucks starter Nelson Garcia did not fare  as  well as he wanted to taking the loss after pitching   3.1 innings allowing 6 earned runs. Brendan Henriquez tossed a fantastic game with  a lot of help from his offense going 7 innings  allowing 4 runs.

The Bucks would come all the way back to take the lead  in the top of the 9th inning  with the Islanders needing just one out to win the game , closer Patrick Donohoe allowed 4 runs including 2 runs on a clutch single by Matt Martinez to center field.

Michael Heller who came in the 8th inning to shut the Islanders down but JJ Bissell had a different plan. Bissell, who was due for a long ball, hit a ball over the center field wall with bases loaded to walk it off for the Islanders in the ninth.

The Islanders improve to (3-2) in the season while the Bucks drop to (2-3). Both teams will have a day off tomorrow before starting the second series of the season on tuesday.
